The Snow Queen
The great illustrators of the Golden Age come back: the scenes draw on the worlds of Arthur Rackham and Edmund Dulac and turn them into clear lines for coloring.
Audiocoloring is a series of coloring books for classic fairy tales and music. A QR code on every page opens the audio. The phone simply becomes a speaker, while hands and eyes stay with the picture.
No screen to look at. The phone lies face down next to the book and just plays.
Every spread shows a scene from the story, drawn by hand on thick paper that can take watercolor too.
The code in the corner opens exactly the chapter that belongs to the picture. No app, no sign-up.
While the hands are busy, attention moves fully into the story, and the story moves into the picture.
You listen differently when your hands have something to do: more calmly, for longer, and with more pictures in your head.
Coloring calms, listening captivates. Together they make a focused, quiet activity that no one has to be told to do.
Every new fairy tale follows the same format. The texts are in the public domain, the pictures are drawn by hand.

Here the music tells the story: the Royal March of the Lion, the Swan and the Aquarium from “The Carnival of the Animals”, the Hall of the Mountain King from “Peer Gynt” and the march from “The Love for Three Oranges”. Every picture belongs to one piece, and you color in time with the music.

Drawn from scratch: the toad, the cockchafer, the field mouse and the mole as quirky little characters, with plenty of room for your own colors.

Single pages from the three books, exactly as they are printed for coloring.

We will send you two coloring pages as PDFs: the lion with music by Saint-Saëns and the toad from “Thumbelina” with the whole story. Print them, grab your pencils, scan the QR code, listen.

I draw the pages by hand and take care of everything technical: from the first sketch to the audio page behind the QR code.
Whether “War and Peace”, “Max and Moritz” or a children’s book from your catalogue: I draw the coloring pages by hand, in my own style or close to the original illustrations, and handle the technical side with QR codes, audio pages and print files.
Existing recordings from your audiobook catalogue become a coloring book. A new product from the backlist, with no new production costs for the audio.
Three finished books with narrated audio, published under your imprint and continuable in the same format.
